Hi Steafan, I've seen you a few times on Ahvarhan's blog so thought I'd come and check you out in sympathy mainly for your food poisoning bout. I get here and find a really interesting blog with no less an interview on Ireland AM and a cool song. Well, now I'm interested, so I'll have to come back and read more, listen more and find out who on earth Matthew Graner is ;-)
He he, well I've had a zoom through the samples of your album on iTunes, and I like what I hear. It's a bit frustrating with iTunes though. Just as you're beginning to get a snatch at a song it goes and fades out..very tantalising.
Hi Val, great to have you back in these parts so soon. Hopefully you like the look of the place enough to stay for a while. A novel idea, eh? Subliminal cutting me, are ya? Commendable! Well, if you were thinking of picking the record up, my suggestion is cdbaby. If you got to the sales part of the site and click on the link, it'll take you right there. I'll be back soon to check out your novel. Day 4 of the food poisoning. Pharmacies are open again! Seeing the doctor today too.
Need to get well for next weekend. Heading over to your neck of the woods-well, kinda. Den Hague, then Amsterdam. Weekend break to see a Dutch friend whom I haven't laid eyes on since we roomed at Western Washington University as exchange students in 1993. Yip, 199 THREE! We've kept in touch through the years. No better man to show me Amsterdam.
Where can I buy your book? Artistes supporting each other and that?
Hi Steafan, well before I read your comment in reply, I'd already splurged out and bought the album on iTunes, me being a Maccy and that, and I've already got latched on to three of the songs that I just loved instantly: Rooms, Love's a Decision and Look at you. I really like your use of the female backing vocals and the mellow, slightly jazzy feel to the songs. In fact, I really seriously like it very much indeed. What an eminently listenable to album (if that makes any sense!)
Glad to hear you're seeing the doctor. Day 4 of food poisoning doesn't sound like food poisoning to me. Hope the verdict's not too depressing. Get well soon! You have to for your weekend in Amsterdam! Fine city that, although there are too many tourists for my comfort - always.
My book? Please don't feel you must Steafan. Music is core to my life, and I love hearing new artists, but books are very much more a matter of selective choice, so unless you like mildly humorous stories about people's lives in strange places, don't worry about it. If, on the other hand your curiosity gets the better of you, there's a link in the sidebar of my blog which will take you to the relevant page on Lulu.com. Thanks for thinking of it, though. That was kind ;-)
Hi Steafan, Tuesday evening and I hope you are feeling better. But....any idea why Ahvarhan has shut his blog to all but invited readers? Seems unlike him to shut people out.
Well, this sounds serious. Day 4 and still having trouble, and I hear the visit to the doctor wasn't helpful. Is there such a things as second opinion over there, I can't remember?
Val, how you doing? Holland was quite the trip. I'll tell you about it sometime. Decided about 9 hours before takeoff, just to go for it. Getting the green light from my hosts also helped.
I'm watching 921? ways to kill Castro. Taking it easy. Am I the only one who thinks that Liam Neeson should play him in a movie? I suppose they're waiting for "an ending" first. They are the picture of one another.
Hope you're well. Just wanted to say thanks for stopping in on me last week.
Hi Steafan, it's been a wee while now but I hope you're fully recovered, and glad to hear the trip to Amsterdam was good. Maybe the subject of a new post??
I echo Elizabeth's words too. I have played your album over and over, and love it. Is there any more in the making?
Hey Val, good to hear you. I was just telling Elizabeth there that I'm making the video of Desperation in July in Helsinki. So, if you've any ideas, send em my way!
LP. no.2 is almost written and demoing has started-I'm delighted to say. Already thinking about who, where and when for certain parts of the songs. Pretty excited.
I'll be posting something soon about Amsterdam. Got to recover from it first though! Almost there.
Thanks for featuring my photo on your blog page. I stumbled across it thru yahoo, searching for some of my images online. Cool for me, because I discovered your music. Cheers, Matthew Graner

Only one solution really...
listen again and again and....
Or just buy it...now there's a novel idea ;-)
